Matt and Lib got married in Alabama over Memorial Day and Kirsten and I travelled down for the ceremony. (Matt owns Dougan, Elvis's constant dog companion 'til Matt moved out of Kirsten's in summer 1999.) The weekend's events were in and around Aliceville, which -- to the extent this helps -- is about 35 miles west of Tuscaloosa.

Religion (specifically Christianity) sits right on the surface in Alabama. There's of course the evangelical side, the part that makes you think about hedging your bets and spending a morning or two in church, right soon:
